Seminar: How do population dynamics affect climate change?
The Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and University of Copenhagen invites you to a seminar on population and climate change:

• Safiye Cagar, Director, Information and External Relations Division, UNFPA, New York, who will launch "State of World Population Report" 2009
• Jeffrey Sachs, Professor and Director for Earth Institute, Columbia University, New York, and author of "Our Common Wealth. Economics for a Crowded Planet"
• Sherry Ayittey, Minister for Environment, Science and Technology of Ghana, involved in COP15 preparations, special focus on gender in relation to climate change in a developing country
• Roger Martin, Chair of Optimum Population Trust, the British NGO behind a recent study which found contraception to be the greenest technology
• Moderator: Trine Sick
UNFPA will launch State of World Population Report 2009 at the seminar. The title of this years report is: Facing a changing world: women, population and climate.
