Danish Health researcher among most influential Danes to combat poverty
Peter Aaby from the Bandim Health Project has been nominated by a panel of experts as one of the five most influential Danes to combat poverty. The three members of the panel named Per Pinstrup-Andersen, former General-Director of The International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), as 'the most important Dane in the world'.
The panel, consisting of Nanna Hvidt, Director, DIIS, Lauritz B. Holm, Rector, Aarhus University & Chairman of the working group Universities Denmark, and Jørgen Estrup, consultant, specifically states that 'even though Peter Aaby's results have been cause of debate he has had a significant impact on WHO's guidelines, in particular in relation to measles'.
