Mr. Esben Sønderstrup:

ROUNDTABLE SESSION: Strengthening systems for research
for health: How can we enhance local ownership and local
priority setting in the South? 

Esben Sønderstrup is Chief Technical Adviser (Health) in the Technical Advisory Services of The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark. He has extensive experience from working with Public Health and development issues in more than 20 countries in Africa, Latin America, and Asia. He is currently technically responsible for Danida's health sector programme support to Ghana, Tanzania, Kenya and Bhutan. His latest education is a Master of International Health from Copenhagen University's Faculty of Health Sciences. Before joining the Ministry he worked as Head of the Department of International
Health in the consulting company Carl Bro.
