SOCIAL DETERMINANTS FOR HEALTH BY 2030: NEW TRENDS AND DATA - PROGRAMME AND RESEARCH CHALLENGES
Erik Blas (MSc in corporate management, MScPH and DrPH) has nearly 30 years experience in international public health, working with Danida and WHO. Programmatically, the experience covers immunization, AIDS/HIV prevention and control, health systems development, tropical diseases research, and corporate planning and budgeting. He has worked in all parts of the world with global programmes as well as been stationed in Tanzania and Zambia. He led the Priority Public Health Conditions (PPHC) Knowledge Network of the Commission on Social Determinants of Health. His professional focus is generation and use of knowledge in large scale implementation for health development. Erik Blas has published several articles and books on related topics. He is currently Senior Strategic Advisor to WHO HQ and EURO on programme and resource management.
