Social Determinants of Health
A dialogue meeting with Sir Michael Marmot
There is no social justice in health. Your life time expatencies depends on where you are born and what kind of social capital your possess. To raise awarness on issues of inequalities and injustice in relation to health a Commission on Social Determinants of Health under the leadership of Sir Michael Marmot was established. The Commission concluded their work in 2008 by submitting the report 'Closing the gap in a generation: Health equity through action on the social determinants of health'.
Enreca Health will carry on this debate by organising a dialogue meeting with Sir Michael Marmot on 12 June, 2009. The meeting is jointly organised by Danida, Global Doctors and Enreca Health.
