Meeting on implementing the strategy in the field of gender equality

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs invites the Danish resource base to an important meeting to discuss the implementation of the new strategy for Denmark's development cooperation 'Freedom from Poverty - Freedom to Change' in the field of gender equality. In the meeting, the first draft of the Action Plan will be presented.

Gender equality is one of the five priority themes in the new strategy and health -especially sexual and reproductive health and rights - is seen as an important part of it. Therefore, sexual and reproductive health and rights as well as HIV/AIDS will be included in the Action Plan.

The meeting: 'Frihed fra Fattigdom - Frihed til Forandring' - hvordan udmønter Udenrigsministeriet den danske unviklingspolitiske strategi i 2011 på ligestillingsområdet?' will be hold in Danish.

Time: 7 January 2011, 13.00-15.00

Place: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Eigtveds Pakhus, Salon II
