The demand for effective communication products, e.g. research based policy briefs, is increasingly being emphasised by politicians, donors and users of research results. After the completion of years of academic research, field works, testing of hypothesis and dissemination with informants, researchers must ‘repack' the results of their work. It can be frustrating if it feels like oversimplifying a complex message, but it can also be rewarding if the message is actually being taken in and used a solid ground for interventions.
- At the end of this two days workshop the participants will have:
- Produced a two-pages brief based on their own research projects;
- Gotten an understanding of how to identify a specific audience for his or her project;
The possibility to continue working with an experienced research communication experts after the end of the workshop.
- Participants
Up to 20 researchers (PhDs, post docs and others) criteria are to provide a short summary of own research project that is solid enough to be included in the workshop.
