Communication and research

There is an increasing demand from funders, policy makers and other potential users of the research for clear and practical explanations of our research work and its results (e.g. research based policy briefs, summaries, etc.). This means that researchers need to 'repackage' the results of their work and explain their findings in a more simple language that can reach different audiences. This can be difficult after spending years doing academic research, field work and testing of hypothesis. Some researches are afraid of oversimplification of their often very complex research. However, simple and clear explanation of your research will increase its value. It will be easier for users outside the research community to understand your results and benefit from them and use them in practise.
